BI-COMPOUND

Providing maximum durability, performance, and grip, “Bi-Compound” technology combines the powers of two rubber compounds.

- The compound in the center of the tread ensures an optimum torque transmission - from the rear wheel when pedalling and when decelerating and braking. This compound is designed to optimize resistance against wear, but also to maximize safe braking on wet surfaces.

- The compound on the sidewall of the treads provides maximum performance and safety when heading into turns or bends, with exceptional grip in both dry and wet road conditions.

REINFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGYFor tire carcasses

In order to limit punctures and improve performance, Michelin offers tire carcasses at 3x110 TPI and 3x150 TPI (TPI: thread per inch). This measurement indicates the density of the threads in the carcass of the tire: the higher the density, the lighter, quicker and more flexible the tire.
